• Ørsted has launched a seascape restoration project in the UK to revive biodiversity-rich coastal habitats vital in the fight against climate change. The Humber Estuary, once one of the country’s most important natural areas, has suffered from decades of pollution and industrial development. Precious habitats like sand dunes, salt marshes, seagrass, and native oysters have declined, despite being crucial to climate resilience. To reverse this, Ørsted is partnering with Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust to restore and strengthen the estuary’s ecosystem.
